From Streets to Splash: Seattle's Awesome Ride the Ducks Tour
[Seattle Trip] Ride the Duck Tour: Conquer Seattle by Land and Sea!
Get ready for a quacking good time on the Ride the Duck tour! This isn't just any city tour; it's your chance to see Seattle from both land and water in one awesome amphibious vehicle. Seriously, how cool is that?
This Ride the Duck tour was easily one of the highlights of my Seattle adventure! You'll spot these quirky vehicles all over town. Why? Because they offer a totally unique perspective, cruising the city streets *and* splashing into the lake. It's not every day you get to ride in an amphibious car-boat, so definitely book it if you get the chance. Trust me, unless you've got super tiny tots, it's a blast for everyone! The driver/guide makes a huge difference, and ours was fantastic. Honestly, it was so much fun, and I absolutely recommend it for any Seattle trip. Let me tell you all about my ducky ride!

Getting your golden ticket (or should I say, ducket?) is easy. You can grab them right at the departure spot or book online beforehand. You can't miss it – it's located right in front of the MoPOP (Museum of Pop Culture), super close to the iconic Space Needle. Easy peasy!

When you get your ticket, they also give you this adorable duck caller! Give it a blow, and *quack*! The funniest part? Everyone's quacker sounds a little different, haha! Oh, and don't forget to check your ticket for your assigned seat number – gotta find your spot on the duck!

Behold the magnificent Duck! It looks pretty similar to those amphibious vehicles you sometimes see on TV. As you explore Seattle, you'll see these guys cruising around everywhere. Don't be shy, give 'em a wave! It was awesome how everyone waved back at us with big smiles.

Inside, it feels a bit like a bus with seats lining both sides. But since this bad boy goes for a swim, you'll find life jackets tucked away overhead, just in case! Best part? No side windows! You get an amazing open-air view and a refreshing breeze throughout the ride. Sweet!

Before we rolled (and splashed) out, our captain gave us the lowdown – introductions, safety tips, the works. And let me tell you, this guide was HILARIOUS! We were singing, clapping, and laughing the whole way. They really made the tour something special!

The Duck takes you on a whirlwind tour of Seattle's hotspots! We started by checking out the bustling Waterfront and the ferry terminal, then rolled through historic Pioneer Square and past the downtown shopping district. Next up: crossing the famous Aurora Bridge!

My favorite moments? When the upbeat music started playing! Our guide would cue us to wave our hands, clap along, and even sing (or hum!) along. We were snapping pictures, soaking in the sights, and just having a great time. Seriously, even if your English isn't perfect, don't worry! The energy and fun are universal. You'll absolutely enjoy it!

Crossing the Aurora Bridge offered some absolutely stunning views! You have to cross it to reach Lake Union, and honestly, cruising over that bridge with the cityscape unfolding was pure magic.

Once across the bridge, it was time for the big splashdown into Lake Union! The Duck enters the water nice and smoothly, so there's nothing scary about it – just pure excitement! Watching the transition from road to water was so cool and really fun.

Lake Union is filled with all sorts of boats and fancy yachts – it's fun just checking them all out! Apparently, this is *the* spot for the 4th of July fireworks show, with boats filling the lake. Can you imagine how amazing that must be? Plus, the views of the Space Needle from the water are picture-perfect.

We even saw people just chilling on the water, having come straight from their lakeside homes! Imagine just popping out your back door for a paddle on the lake. So different from having to travel somewhere specific for that kind of relaxation. Seattleites living the dream!

The Seattle skyline looks incredible from Lake Union. I bet coming back here at night for the city lights would be absolutely breathtaking! Gas Works Park is nearby, and I hear the skyline views from there are epic, especially after dark.

Here's something you don't see every day: dedicated 'parking spots' for yachts! Seriously, some of these setups looked more organized than car parks. It makes you wonder about all the adventures these boats go on...

As we drove out of Lake Union, the cutest little kid waved at us! Maybe they just love seeing the Duck go by? They watched us the whole time we were leaving, totally adorable. We waved back, of course, before heading back onto dry land.

And just like that, our amazing Ride the Duck adventure was over! Back at the starting point, there was already a crowd waiting for the next tour. It’s clearly popular, and for good reason! Perfect for families, couples, or friends – if you're visiting Seattle, you absolutely have to experience the Ride the Duck tour.
